Robert has been working with AS+P in a senior position on a variety of projects ranging from commercial to institutional.  His previous experience includes extensive knowledge of multi-storey office towers and he was involved in a number of large projects to retrofit and upgrade a complex of high rise towers in downtown Toronto.  These projects included the restoration and renovation of public spaces including garage, plaza, concourse and a number of large corporate interiors.  He is continually looking for new challenges including continuing education, in order to provide current and up to date training and knowledge to each and every project.

At AKITT, SWANSON + PEARCE ARCHITECTS INC. Robert has served as Associate on many of the firms largest projects.  He has been involved in all facets of architectural projects including: design development, production of working drawings, budgeting and tendering, municipal approvals, as well as, overseeing the construction administration phase.  Quality conscious, detail oriented, with proven ability to handle complex situations, Rob’s deep commitment to excellence, innovative thinking, and desire for success make him an asset to any project.

Robert has currently been working on phase III of the new ‘Centre on Barton’ in Hamilton, a 780,000 sf retail | commercial shopping centre, which will end up as one of Canada’s largest retail redevelopment projects, not to mention AS+P’s largest project to date.  This multi-phased project has had to maintain its meticulously detailed schedules in order to construct phase I while operating a 740,000 sf enclosed mall which stood in the center of the property.  Following the completion of phase I the mall was then demolished to make way for the subsequent phases of construction.  This project’s success to date is in no small part due to Roberts involvement and the relationships he has built with the clients and numerous trades involved.
