Following graduation in 1994 from the University of Toronto Faculty of Architecture, Kevin began working at AKITT, SWANSON + PEARCE ARCHITECTS INC. and was involved in the design, documentation and construction administration of numerous private sector corporate, commercial and industrial projects.
In 1998, Kevin left AS+P to work with the Toronto firm of RDH Architects. During his 9 years there, Kevin focused on community, recreation, and post secondary facilities. He played a significant role in the design and construction of the following projects:
Community & Recreation: Heron Park Community Centre, Toronto; Clarkson Community Centre & Library, Mississauga; Cornwall Aquatic Centre, Cornwall; Centre Wellington Community Complex, Fergus; Essex Twin Pad Arena, Essex.
Post Secondary: University of Toronto Academic Research Centre, Scarborough Campus, Toronto; Ryerson University Sally Horsfall Eaton Centre for Studies in Community Health, Toronto; George Brown College Library & Learning Commons, Toronto; University of Waterloo School of Optometry Addition.
In the 2007 Kevin returned to AKITT, SWANSON + PEARCE ARCHITECTS INC. and was made Principal in 2009, sharing partnership responsibilities with David Pearce. Kevin has been involved in many of the firm’s recent high profile projects and he has lead the firm’s expansion into public sector work securing several of the firm’s recent public sector commissions including the Lindsay Recreation Complex nearing completion, and the recently completed University of Waterloo Faculty of the Environment 3 building.
Currently, Kevin is working with Sun Life Financial on a multi-building office development in Burlington, and with Molson-Coors on the renovation of their Toronto office.
Kevin’s recent project experience includes:
The University of Waterloo Environment 3 Building, Waterloo; The Lindsay recreation Complex, Lindsay;The Centre on Barton Food Pavilion, Royal Bank, and Scotiabank, Hamilton; First Meadowvale Centre phase I & II, Mississauga; Century Centre Lobby, Mississauga; and design proposals for Kenadian's Head Office, Mississauga; Wurth Canada's head office, Guelph; University of Ontario Centre for Cybercrime Research; and Lakehead University's Orillia Campus Cafeteria/Bookstore.
