Design Builder - Cooper Construction Inc.

Phase I of this Design/Build project was awarded in 2007 and was designed, documented, constructed and commissioned within 12 months.

This research centre consists of a pair of 3 storey, 68,000 sq ft facilities designed to provide flexible lab space for various University departments and private ventures.  It includes a total of 14 individual laboratory spaces totaling approximately 44,000 sq ft designed for ease of service installation and flexibility of use.

This project is one of the first for the University’s new technology park.  A phase II second building was anticipated in the planning for the initial project and site plan. Phase II was successfully completed in 2010.  It included customized changes to the 3rd floor interior and exterior to reflect the needs of a particular tenant.
