AKITT, SWANSON + PEARCE ARCHITECTS INC. began working with Dominion Food Stores in the 1960s.  This relationship was re-established with AS+P in 2004 under the A&P – Dominion banners and continues with the new ownership by METRO.

AS+P played a key role in developing the new architectural expression of METRO and the rebranding of several hundred Dominion and A&P stores under the METRO name.

AS+P has designed new stores for METRO in Hamilton (Centre Mall); Markham (Wismer Mews); Ajax (Saleen Road); Vaughan (Eagles Landing); Georgetown; Milton and Cambridge.

In addition, AS+P has worked on store renovations, additions and exterior face-lifts of 20-30 stores throughout southern ontario
