Design Builder - Belrock

AKITT SWANSON + PEARCE ARCHITECTS INC. was retained to design this office building on a small 4.5 acre difficult sloping site in the Meadowvale area of Mississauga.  Despite the ideal setting in the heart of an established business community, with grades falling 25 ft across its depth, the property had been left undeveloped for many years.

The building took advantage of the grade issues by incorporating a partial level of parking below the building but open for natural ventilation.  The second core exit stair extends to the lower level avoiding the need for an extended corridor which improved efficiency of the building.

The site configuration pushed the building mass to street line and to the highest elevation of the property.  This put the building in a prime exposure position and greatly improved its appeal to potential tenants.

The building lobby incorporates a stone framed waterfall feature.

The building is targeting LEED Certification.
