Design Builder - Belrock

Completed in 2009, this warehouse was designed and constructed to replace an aging, inefficient and inflexible distribution warehouse in north Toronto.

The cross-dock warehouse facility has a gross floor area of 450,000 sq ft (expansion capability to 500,000 sq ft) and includes ancillary offices.

The entire warehouse was designed to maintain a cool internal temperature suitable for the storage of chocolate products. Although MARS Canada warehouses products which do not require temperature control, the flexibility afforded by the design greatly increases the flexibility and efficiency of the warehouse.

The building was developed by Great West Life Realty Advisors using a design-build methodology.
